Creating a New Assignment in Acadlix

You can create a new assignment in Acadlix from two places:

  1. From the Course Builder
  2. From the Assignments Section

The assignment creation process is the same in both places. Follow the steps below:

From the Course Builder

  1. In the course section, click on the Add Assignment button.
  2. A modal will appear with a form to fill in the assignment details.
  3. Fill in the required details or follow the instructions provided below.

From the Assignments Section

  1. From the left menu, click on Acadlix.
  2. Navigate to the Assignments section.
  3. Click on the Add Assignment button in the top left corner.
  4. The assignment creation page will open.
  5. Fill in the required details and click Save.

Adding an Assignment in Acadlix

  1. Enter the Assignment Title and Instructions.
  2. Navigate to the Options section to configure additional settings.

Available Options

    • Allow Upload:
      Enable this to allow students to upload files. Once enabled, three more options will become available:

      • Number of Uploads:
        Set the maximum number of files a student can upload. For example, if set to 2, students can upload up to two files.
      • Allowed MIME Type(s):
        Choose one or more file types allowed for submission (e.g., PDF only or both PDF and Word files).
      • Max. File Size (MB):
        Set the maximum allowed size for each file, in megabytes (MB).
    • Enable Marking:
      Enable this if you want to assign a maximum score for the assignment. Once enabled, you can enter the total points.
    • Start Date:
      Set a date by which the assignment becomes available for submission. Students accessing it before this date will see a message with the start date and time.

    • End Date:
      Set a deadline after which submissions will be closed. No student will be able to submit after this date, even if they started or saved a draft earlier.
    • Deadline:
      Set a submission deadline relative to the assignment start (in days or weeks). Enable the option, enter the number, and choose the time unit (days/weeks).

Attachments

If you want to provide files or links to support the assignment, use the Attachments section.

Steps to add an attachment:

  1. Click on the Add Attachments button.
  2. Enter the Attachment Title.
  3. Select the Attachment Type – either Link or Upload:
    • Link: Enter the desired URL in the Link field.
    • Upload: Click on the Upload button to select a file from the media gallery or upload a new file.
