You can create a new lesson in Acadlix from two places.
- From Course builder
- From Lesson Section
In both of these places, the creation process is the same you can follow
From Course Builder:
- In the course section click on the Add Lesson button.
- A modal will appear, and you have to add the lesson title.
- Select the lesson type – Video or Text.
- Follow the instructions provided below – Add a Video Lesson or Add a Text Lesson
From the Lesson section:
- From the left menu click on Acadlix
- Navigate to the lesson
- Click on the Add button from the top left.
- Follow the instructions provided below – Add a Video Lesson or Add a Text Lesson
Add a Video Lesson:
In Acadlix you can add a video from various sources like YouTube, Vimeo, External Link, etc. So first select the video source from the dropdown list and follow the source-specific instructions
- HTML 5: You can upload an MP4 video file in this format. Simply click on the upload video button and select the already uploaded video file from the media gallery of your site or you can upload a custom video file. Upload a thumbnail image for the video and add the video duration in hours, minutes, and seconds.
- External Link: You can add a video lesson using an external link. Simply copy and paste the video link in the external field option and set the video duration.
- YouTube: You can add a video lesson using a YouTube video link. Simply copy and paste the video link in the external field option and set the video duration.
- Vimeo: You can add a video lesson using a Vimeo video link. Simply copy and paste the video link in the external field option and set the video duration.
- Embedded: You can add a video lesson using a video embedded. Simply copy and paste the video-embedded code in the embedded field option and set the video duration.
- Shortcode: If you are using a plugin that creates the video shortcode, then you can simply paste the video shortcode and run that using our player. Please check the compatibility for this option first.
Note: If you leave the duration fields blank, then the system will automatically extract the duration when someone plays it the first time on the front end.
Add a Text Lesson:
Adding a text lesson in Acadlix is not limited to the text lecture only, you can add text along with multimedia like images, videos, PDFs, etc. as you can add in a post.
Simply select the lesson type as Text and add your content using the editor.
Add Resources to Lesson:
You can add links or upload various types of files to the resources to help your learners. To add resources follow the steps below
- Click on the Add Resources button
- Enter resource title
- Select the recourse type – Link or Upload
- Link -> Add the desired link in the “Link” field
- Upload -> Click on the Upload button and you can select the desired file from the media gallery. You can also upload a new file using upload files.
