General Options

Acadlix has several general options or features, that you can set as per your requirement. With these features enabled or disabled, you can create exam-specific experiences for your users.

Pro Tip: If you reuse one set of features for multiple quizzes, we advise you to create a Quiz template to save time.

General Options

Hide Quiz Title

The Hide Quiz Title option in Acadlix allows you to control whether the quiz title is visible on the front end. When enabled, the quiz title will be hidden from users, offering a cleaner and more minimalistic quiz layout.

This feature is useful for:

  • Embedding quizzes within custom-designed pages where the title is already displayed elsewhere.
  • Creating surprise tests or anonymous quizzes where the title might give away hints.
  • Maintaining a streamlined design for a distraction-free quiz experience.

Simply toggle the option on or off based on your quiz design needs!

Hide Restart Button

The Hide Restart Button option in Acadlix lets you control whether users can restart a quiz after completing it. When enabled, the Restart button will be hidden on the quiz result page, preventing users from retaking the quiz immediately.

This feature is helpful for:

  • Timed or competitive exams where retaking isn’t allowed.
  • One-time attempt quizzes to ensure fairness.
  • Progress-based quizzes where users must move forward without reattempting.

Enable or disable this option depending on the rules and flow of your quiz!

Show Clear Response Button

The Show Clear Response Button option in Acadlix adds a button to the quiz interface, allowing users to clear their selected answer for a question.

This feature is useful for:

  • Objective tests where users may wish to remove an accidental selection.
  • Competitive exams that mimic real-world formats, offering a “clear” option like SSC, IBPS, etc.
  • User flexibility — helping participants review their answers without being forced to choose one.

Enable this option to give users full control over their responses, ensuring a seamless quiz experience.

Show Review Button

The Show Review Button option in Acadlix allows users to mark a question for review during a quiz. This button helps participants flag questions they want to revisit before submitting their final answers.

This feature is particularly useful for:

  • Competitive exams like SSC, IBPS, JEE, etc., where candidates may want to skip tricky questions and return to them later.
  • Long quizzes where users might need a second look at certain answers.
  • Improved user experience by giving test-takers more control over their quiz flow.

When enabled, a Review button appears next to each question, letting users easily identify and navigate back to their marked questions.

Quiz Time Type

Acadlix offers three Quiz Time Types to control how time limits are applied to quizzes:

  1. Full Quiz Time:
    • Sets a total time limit for the entire quiz.
    • The timer starts when the quiz begins and counts down until the user submits the quiz or time runs out.
    • Ideal for exams where users can freely navigate between questions, managing their own time.
  2. Per Question Time:
    • Assigns a time limit for each individual question.
    • Once the time for a question expires, it automatically moves to the next question.
    • Perfect for fast-paced tests or timed assessments where each question has a strict response window.
  3. Subject Wise Time:

Choose the time type that best suits your quiz format — whether it’s a relaxed full-length exam or a rapid-fire test!

Start Date and End Date

The Start Date and End Date options in Acadlix allow you to schedule quizzes by setting specific time frames for when a quiz becomes available and when it automatically closes.

Key Features:

  • Start Date: Determines when the quiz will become visible and accessible to users.
  • End Date: Sets the deadline after which the quiz will no longer be available — users won’t be able to start or submit answers.

Use Cases:

  • Scheduled Exams: Perfect for timed tests or competitive exams that open and close at fixed times.
  • Assignment Deadlines: Useful for quizzes tied to lessons or homework with submission cutoffs.
  • Event-Based Quizzes: Launch quizzes during live classes or special events, ensuring they’re only active for a set period.

If no dates are set, the quiz remains open.

Login Options —

Enable Login/Register

The Enable Login/Register option in Acadlix lets you control user access to quizzes by requiring participants to log in or register before attempting a quiz.

Key Features:

  • Enabled: Users must log in or create an account before starting the quiz. Useful for tracking user progress, storing results, and providing personalized feedback.
  • Disabled: Anyone can attempt the quiz without logging in — ideal for public quizzes, practice tests, or open demos.

Use Cases:

  • Student Tracking: Enable login for graded quizzes or exams where progress and scores need to be recorded.
  • Guest Access: Disable login for open quizzes designed to attract new users or showcase your course content.
  • Lead Generation: Pair registration with quizzes to grow your user base by collecting email addresses during signup.

Per User Allowed Attempt

The Per User Allowed Attempt option in Acadlix lets you control how many times a user can attempt a quiz.

Key Features:

  • Unlimited Attempts: Leave the field empty or set to “0” to allow users to retake the quiz as many times as they want.
  • Limited Attempts: Enter a specific number (e.g., 1, 2, 3) to restrict how many times each user can attempt the quiz. Once the limit is reached, the quiz will be locked for that user.

Use Cases:

  • Single-Attempt Exams: Perfect for competitive tests or final exams where retakes are not allowed.
  • Practice Quizzes: Allow multiple attempts to let students practice and improve their scores.
  • Progress-Based Learning: Gradually limit attempts to encourage thoughtful answers rather than trial-and-error submissions.

Admins can also combine this setting with time limits, start/end dates, and login requirements for even more control over quiz access.

Enable Prerequisite

The Enable Prerequisite option in Acadlix allows you to require users to complete specific quizzes before they can attempt the current quiz.

How It Works:

  • When enabled, you can select/add one or more quizzes that must be passed or completed first.
  • Users will see a message indicating the required quizzes they need to finish before unlocking the current quiz.
  • If the prerequisites are not met, the Start Quiz button will be disabled.

Use Cases:

  • Progressive Learning Paths: Ensure students complete foundational quizzes before advancing to more complex topics.
  • Certification Exams: Lock final exams until all practice tests or module quizzes are passed.
  • Sequential Testing: Create a structured quiz flow, where users can’t skip ahead without mastering earlier content.

Admins can easily set or update prerequisites from the Add/Edit Quiz page by selecting quizzes from a dropdown list.

Advance Options

Show Only Specific Number of Questions

The Show Only Specific Number of Questions option in Acadlix allows you to control how many questions are shown to users during a quiz — even if the quiz contains more questions in total.

How It Works:

  • Enabled: Enter the number of questions you want to display. For example, if your quiz has 50 questions but you set this value to 10, only 10 random questions will be shown to each user.
  • Disabled: All questions in the quiz will be displayed by default.

Use Cases:

  • Randomized Tests: Create dynamic quizzes where users get a different set of questions each time they attempt the quiz.
  • Sectional Quizzes: Limit the number of questions to test specific topics without overwhelming learners.
  • Mock Exams: Mimic real-world exams by pulling random questions from a larger question bank.

This feature works well with Quiz Time Type (full quiz or per question time) and Per User Allowed Attempts to design flexible yet challenging quizzes.

Enable Check Button

The Enable Check Button option in Acadlix adds a Check button to quiz questions, allowing users to instantly verify whether their selected answer is correct or incorrect — without waiting until the quiz is submitted.

How It Works:

  • When enabled, a Check button appears below each question.
  • Users can click the button after selecting an answer to get immediate feedback.
  • The quiz proceeds without affecting their final submission until they choose to complete the quiz.

Use Cases:

  • Practice Quizzes: Great for formative assessments where instant feedback helps users learn as they go.
  • Skill Development: Useful for quizzes designed to build mastery step by step, letting learners self-correct along the way.
  • Interactive Learning: Engages users by adding a dynamic, responsive element to the quiz experience.

Pair this with Per User Allowed Attempt and Show Review Button to create a fully interactive and supportive quiz flow for your learners.
